The guidance of an experienced skipper can be invaluable.

Who is a skipper? In everyday sailing language, this is what we call the captain who commands a vessel— in our case, a sailing yacht. The skipper is responsible for navigating the yacht as well as for the safety of the boat, the crew, and any passengers on board. Without a doubt, this should be someone with solid experience. If you don’t yet feel ready to take full command of a yacht on your own, a great solution is to rely on the support of a more experienced skipper.

  • Want to charter a sailing yacht or motor yacht but don’t have the required license to skipper it yourself?
  • Don’t feel fully confident at the helm and would like someone experienced to help you skipper the yacht?
  • Planning a longer or more demanding voyage and looking for an experienced skipper to support you along the way?

In any of these situations, hiring a skipper is a great solution. If you’re considering this option, feel free to get in touch with me. I’ll be happy to help with this and any other aspects of safely handling and running a yacht.

Why is it worth using my support? On a daily basis, I skipper offshore voyages on different yachts and across various sailing areas. Thanks to this experience, I’m always happy to share the practical knowledge I’ve gained at sea. Working with many different yachts and cruising grounds also makes it easier for me to help choose the right yacht for you—one that meets your expectations and performs well in a variety of conditions.

If I happen to be unavailable on the dates that suit you, I’ll do my best to recommend another trusted skipper. Feel free to ask—together we’ll certainly find a solution that makes your voyage both enjoyable and safe.
